HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team returns to the University Center this week, hosting Incarnate Word and Abilene Christian in a pair of Southland Conference matches.
Southeastern (7-13, 4-4 Southland) hosts Incarnate Word (6-16, 2-7 Southland) Thursday at 7 p.m. in the annual Dig Pink game. There will be free pizza for Southeastern students while it lasts.
Students can support the team's effort to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation prior to the match by stopping by the War Memorial Student Union between 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Thursday and purchasing ribbons that will be displayed during the contest. Ribbons are $1. Students can also register to win a Samsung Galaxy tablet.
Abilene Christian (2-19, 0-8 Southland) comes to town Saturday for a 2 p.m. match. Prior to the match, four-year letterwinner
Elizabeth Ramee will be honored for Senior Day ceremonies.

The Lady Lions have dropped two straight after a stretch of five wins in seven matches and currently sit in seventh place in the conference standings.
Parrie Hartley (2.17 kills per set),
Tiffany Thomas (2.15 k/set),
Sarah Friedman (2.05 k/set) and
Mikayla Shippy (9.07 assists per set) are leading the way for Southeastern offensively.
Rachael Bunn is the team leader in blocks (0.97 b/set) and
Morgan Todd is fourth in the Southland with 5.03 digs per set.
UIW has dropped back-to-back matches since defeating McNeese State in four sets, Oct. 12.
Angelique Vidaurri (3.09 k/set), Shaina Garza (2.09 k/set), Kaitlyn Brooks (5.64 a/set) and Taylor McClelland (4.00 a/set) are key components of the Cardinals' offense. Claudia Hernandez (3.44 d/set) is UIW's leader in digs.
Before taking on the Lady Lions, ACU plays at the University of New Orleans (6-17, 0-9 Southland) Thursday evening.
Jennifer Loerch (3.78 k/set) and Sarah Siemens (7.67 a/set) lead the Wildcat offense. Lexi Mercier is fifth in the conference with an average of 1.03 blocks per set and Madison Hoover (3.86 d/set) leads the team in digs.
Following Saturday's match against ACU, the Lady Lions head out on the road for four-consecutive conference contests.
