Box Score NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team dropped a Southland Conference match in consecutive sets Saturday at Stephen F. Austin.
Southeastern (6-8, 0-2 Southland), which swept the season series from the Ladyjacks last season, fell to SFA (10-4, 2-0 Southland), 25-13, 25-17, 25-16.
Tiffany Thomas led the way for the Lady Lions with 11 kills and a .360 attack percentage.
Mikayla Shippy dished out 28 assists and picked up six digs. Freshmen Landy Bullock and
Rachael Bunn tallied two total blocks each.
Morgan Todd ledd Southeastern with seven digs.
Southeastern, which hit .320 as team in the first set, ran into a Ladyjack buzzsaw. SFA hit .392 as team in the match, including a dominant .520 (15 kills, two errors, 25 attempts) in the first set. Both teams posted four team blocks each.
Jacque Allen (11 kills, .625 attack percentage), Tori Bates (10 kills, .350 attack percentage) and Paige Holland (four kills, 30 assists) led the Ladyjack offensive attack. Libero OJ Olson's 15 digs were a match high.
Southeastern returns home to host a pair of conference matches against Central Arkansas (Sept. 26) and Oral Roberts (Sept. 28).
