Box Score HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball team dropped a five-set heartbreaker Saturday on Senior Day to Northwestern State, 21-25, 25-10, 24-26, 25-18, 15-12.
With the Senior Day ceremony scheduled for after the match, Southeastern (11-18, 4-12 Southland) turned in an emotional and inspired match. The Lady Lions recorded 12 team blocks and held the Northwestern State (18-10, 14-2 Southland) offense to a .136 attack percentage in the defensive struggle.

Megan McMillin, who led all players with 27 digs, bypassed former Lady Lion Dina Donaldson for sole possession of seventh place on Southeastern's all-time digs list with her final dig of the match.
Tiffany Thomas, who returned to the lineup after missing the last two contests, led Southeastern with 11 kills.
Elizabeth Ramee added 10 kills and
Mikayla Shippy handed out 39 assists.
Veronica Turk led the blocking effort with seven total blocks, including one solo. Ramee (five total blocks) and
Rachael Bunn (four total blocks) also had a hand in holding down the Northwestern State attack.

Cherish Krohn (10 digs) lent help along the back row.
Glynna Johnson led the Lady Demon offense with a match-high 17 kills. Mackenzie Neely added 10 kills while both Emily Johnson (26 assists, 15 digs) and Natalie Jaeger (17 assists, 10 digs) both recorded double-doubles.
Johnson also aided the defense with eight total blocks. Neely and Vanessa Coleman added four total blocks each. Keelie Arneson, the Southland's digs leader, recored 22 digs. Stacey DiFrancesco chipped in 13 digs and Ashley Elrod added another 11 digs to the Northwestern State defensive effort.
Southeastern wraps up the season this coming week with a pair of road contests, Thursday at Oral Roberts and Saturday at Central Arkansas.
