HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball team looks to extend its four-match winning streak this week as it concludes the home portion of its 2013 schedule against a pair of Southland Conference opponents.
Southeastern (11-16, 4-10 Southland) hosts Stephen F. Austin (14-13, 6-8 Southland) at 7 p.m. Thursday in the University Center and then faces Northwestern State (16-10, 12-2 Southland) at 2 p.m. in Saturday's Senior Day contest.

The Lady Lion offense is led by

Landry Bullock (2.46 k/set),

Rachael Bunn (2.11 k/set, .326 attack percentage) and Mikayala Shippy (9.30 assists per set). Bunn is third in the Southland in attack percentage while Shippy is sixth in assists.
Veronica Turk (0.86 blocks per set), Bunn (0.81 b/set),
Shelby Devlin (0.73 b/set) and
Morgan Todd (4.37 digs per set) lead Lady Lion defensive effort. Southeastern is sixth in the conference in blocks (2.01/set) and fourth in opponent hitting percentage (.171). Todd is sixth in digs.
Jill Ivy (3.05 k/set), Tori Bates (2.58 k.set) and Paige Holland (8.26 a/set) pace the Ladyjack offensive effort. Jacque Allen (1.16 b/set), Justice Walker (0.82 b/set) and OJ Olson (4.90 d/set) are the defensive leaders.
SFA defeated Abilene Christian last time out, snapping a skid in which the Ladyjacks had dropped five of its previous six conference matches.
Northwestern State, which plays Thursday evening at the University of New Orleans, has won three straight since dropping a four-set decision at home, Oct. 26, to Sam Houston State.
Ashley Elrod (3.03 k/set), Caiti O'Connell (2.69 k/set), Emily Johnson (5.56 a/set) and Natalie Jaeger (4.79 a/set) guide the Lady Demon offense. Glynna Johnson and Amanda Kunz each average 0.88 blocks per set while Keelie Arneson leads the Southland with 5.25 digs per set.
Southeastern will honor its seniors in a postgame ceremony following Saturday's contest against Northwestern State.
