CONWAY, Ark. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team dropped its season finale Saturday at Southland Conference foe Central Arkansas, 25-21, 25-16, 25-21.

Southeastern (11-20, 4-14 Southland) went toe-to-toe offensively with the Southland Conference champion in the first set, hitting .269 out the gate, but the undefeated Sugar Bears (26-3, 18-0 Southland) pulled away to wrap up the contest.

Heather Schnars led all players with 15 kills (.429 attack percentage). Marissa Collins dished out 36 assists for UCA and Shelbee Berringer posted 11 digs.

Landry Bullock and Veronica Turk led the Lady Lions with eight kills each while Tiffany Thomas added seven kills. Mikayla Shippy handed out 27 assists to pace the offense. Megan McMillin recorded 10 digs and Morgan Todd added eight for Southeastern.

Among the highlights for Southeastern this season are a pair of four-game win streaks, including sweeping through the Tangi Tourism Lion Classic.

Rachael Bunn's .312 attack percentage is the third-best mark ever recorded by a Lady Lion, topped only by Scottie Daigle (.313 in 1996) and last year's record-setting performance by Courtney Donald (.330).

McMillin finished her career with 1,233 digs, placing her seventh on Southeastern's all-time list. Shippy's 1,020 assists this season are the ninth-most in a single season by a Lady Lion. Todd, who concluded the season with 484 digs, recorded the sixth-highest total in a single season in  school history.

Southeastern's 11 victories equal last season's win total and are the most since the program's 2004 season.
