Johnson, who grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds for his 16th career double-double, went 10-for-18 from the floor including his first two career 3-pointers after attempting just five shots from behind the arc in his first three seasons. The former Destrehan High product saved his best for last after UCA (8-11, 3-6 SLC) took a 69-68 lead on a 3-pointer by Robert Crawford with five seconds left.
After
Dre Evans had his potential game-winner blocked by UCA's Anthony Borden with 1.9 seconds remaining, Johnson worked off a screen, took the inbounds pass from
Roger Woods and hit a floater in the lane for the 14th lead change of the game and eventual game-winner.
Southeastern finished 28-for-55 (50.9 percent) from the floor while holding UCA to 24-for-58 (41.4 percent).
Crawford scored 17 points to lead UCA while LaQuentin Miles added 15 on 5-for-23 aim from the floor. Borden chipped in with 13 points for the Bears, who had their three-game winning streak snapped.
Southeastern will return to action to face Oral Roberts on Saturday in a 7:30 p.m. contest. The game will be televised on the Golden Eagle Network (DirecTV 363) and Fox College Sports Central.
