Northwestern State got as close as 57-56 when William Mosley hit the first of two free throws, but Bailey scored the Lions' next five points, including powering past Mosley for a basket in the lane that gave Southeastern a 62-57 lead with 1:12 left.
Patterson dished out five assists to increase his career total to 357 and tying him with former Lion Troy Green for second-place tie in school history.
