HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's basketball team wraps up the first half of its Southland Conference schedule on Wednesday when it plays host to Lamar University at the University Center.

Southeastern (8-11, 2-5 SLC) looks to close out the first half of its 16-game Southland Conference schedule on a positive note while beginning a two-game home stand in the process. The Lions, who will face Sam Houston State on Saturday, have won eight of nine games at home this season and are 17-3 since the 2010-11 campaign.
The Lions look to rebound from a 55-38 setback at Northwestern State on Saturday as they rallied from an 11-point deficit but were held scoreless for the final 9:16.

Under first-year coach Pat Knight, Lamar (13-8, 4-3) has averaged 75.1 points per game with Mike James leading the team with a 16.7 average. Anthony Miles (14.3), Devon Lamb (11.1) and Charlie Harper (10.1) are next in scoring for the Cardinals with Lamb leading the team with 7.9 rebounds per contest.
The game will mark the 37th meeting between the schools with Lamar holding a 20-16 lead. The schools split the season series in 2010-11 with each team winning on the road. Southeastern claimed a last-second 89-87 victory in Beaumont on Feb. 2, 2011 before Lamar bounced back and claimed a 57-52 win in the University Center on Feb. 16.
