HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball team continues its eight-match road trip on Tuesday when it heads west to Baton Rouge to face Southern University at Seymour Gym.
First serve is at 7 p.m.
Southeastern (1-7) looks to snap a four-match losing streak before competing this weekend in the Louisiana Tech Invitational in Ruston. The Lady Lions dropped all four matches in the South Alabama Jaguar Classic, that included a five-set loss to Louisiana Tech and four-set losses to Alabama A&M and Samford.
Kinsey Williams leads Southeastern at the net with a 2.58 kills per set average with
Courtney Donald (1.93),
Paige Dollison (1.93) and freshman
Elizabeth Ramee (1.57) next.
Lindsey Young leads Southeastern with 5.90 assists per set while
Megan McMillin paces the Lady Lions with 3.48 digs per set. Young (2.63),
Taylor Buckner (2.57) and
Chelsea Barr (2.50) are next in digs for Southeastern, which returns home to face Louisiana-Monroe on Sept. 13.
Southeastern defeated Southern (0-4) in four sets in last season's match in Hammond behind a career-high 21 kills from Buckner and 14 from
Stephanie Mueller.
