Lady Lions Face Central Arkansas In Season Finale

HAMMOND – The Southeastern volleyball team wraps up the 2011 season Saturday with a Southland Conference match at Central Arkansas.

First serve will be at 1 p.m. in Conway, Ark. Live statistics, provided by Central Arkansas, will be available at www.LionSports.net.

The Lady Lions (5-27, 1-14 Southland) top four hitters all come from different classes. Junior Courtney Donald leads the way with 2.18 kills per set. Sophomore Kinsey Williams (2.08 k/set), senior Paige Dollison (2.07 k/set) and freshman Elizabeth Ramee (1.85 k/set) complete the top four.

Dollison leads the team in blocks (13 solo and 67 block assists) and setter Lindsey Young is ranked eighth in the conference in service aces (0.29 per set). Megan McMillin is tenth in digs (3.59 per set).

Central Arkansas (15-14, 9-6 Southland) swept Nicholls Thursday to break a three-match losing streak. The Sugar Bears had three hitters tally double-digit kills.

Jessica Nagy (2.57 k/set), Lindsey Barron (2.53 k/set) and Taylor Hammonds (2.32 k/set) lead the Central Arkansas attack. Setter Marissa Collins is second in the conference with 10.29 assists per set. Cristin Curl averages 4.59 digs per set.
