HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball team wraps up a four-match homestand Saturday as it hosts Stephen F. Austin in a Southland Conference match at the University Center.
First serve in the “Fall Break Feast” match is scheduled for 2 p.m. Southeastern students who attend the volleyball match, as well as Sunday's 1 p.m. soccer match, will receive free food. Live statistics will be available at www.LionSports.net.
Southeastern (4-18, 0-5 Southland) dropped its last match in four sets to rival Nicholls State Tuesday. The Lady Lions face Stephen F. Austin (9-11, 2-4 Southland) for the only time this season before heading out on the road for their next four matches.
Courtney Donald (2.4 kills per set),
Kinsey Williams (2.2 kps) and
Paige Dollison (2.17 kps) are the top three hitters for Southeastern while
Lindsey Young leads the Lady Lions with 7.67 assists per set.
Megan McMillin leads Southeastern, and is ranked ninth in the Southland Conference, with 3.52 digs per set followed by Young (2.42),
Taylor Buckner (2.32) and
Arianne Cruckshank (2.32).
Stephen F. Austin has dropped its last two matches after starting a four-match road trip with a five-set win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
The Lady Jacks are led by Mary Caitlin Bottles (2.70 kps), Katzy Randall (2.42) and Jill Ivy (2.16). Freshman Paige Holland is second in the conference with 9.62 assists per set.
Stephen F. Austin leads the all-time series with Southeastern, 28-2, including a three-set victory last season in Nacogdoches, Texas.
