NEW ORLEANS – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team dropped a pair of three-set matches on the final day of the Radisson New Orleans Airport Privateer Invitational Tournament Saturday afternoon at the Human Performance Center.

Southeastern (1-6) opened the day with a 25-18, 25-9, 25-18 loss to host UNO (3-2). In the final match of the tournament, Southeastern fell 25-14, 27-25, 25-18 to Bowling Green (6-1).

In the match with UNO, Southeastern finished the match with a .012 hitting percentage. Freshman Alexis Braghini led the Lions with five kills, while senior Lauren Mayer chipped in a team-high 19 assists. Defensively, junior Alex Greer led the Lady Lions with five digs.

UNO hit .278 for the match and was led by Lindsey Loyd (11 kills) and Cassidy Asoebroek (17 assists). Nicky Valenti had a match-high 15 digs for the Lady Privateers.

Southeastern hit an improved .105 in the match with Bowling Green. Freshman Taylor Buckner finished with a team-high 12 kills and posted an excellent .458 hitting percentage. Sophomore Arianne Cruckshank led the Lady Lions with 20 assists, while Greer was credited with 13 digs.

Emily Kauth had a team-high 10 kills for Bowling Green, which hit .290 for the match. Allison Kearney added 35 assists and 10 digs for BGU.

Southeastern will be back in action on Tuesday, facing Southern at 7:30 p.m. in Baton Rouge.
