BOCA RATON, Fla. – After taking a week off for final exams, the Southeastern Louisiana University men's basketball team returns to action Saturday when it faces Sun Belt Conference member Florida Atlantic at FAU Arena.
Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CST. The game can be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9) and on the internet at www.LionSports.net.
Southeastern (4-3), which has won its last three games, last played Dec. 6 with a 108-51 win over Southern-New Orleans. The 57-point margin of victory for the Lions was the fourth-largest in school history.
Robert Tibbs scored a season-high 22 to lead six players in double figures for the Lions, who shot 55 percent from the floor and sank a season-high 12 3-pointers.

Kevyn Green, the Southland Conference's leading scorer at 21.4 points per game, Southeastern is averaging 84.9 points to rank second in the SLC. The Lions enter their game against FAU (3-5), shooting 49 percent from the floor as a team and 40 percent from behind the 3-point line.

FAU, under former St. John's and George Washington coach Mike Jarvis, has dropped four straight. The Owls, who are playing at home for the third time this season and first since Nov. 22, opened its losing skid with a 76-60 loss to No. 24 Davidson before losses to James Madison, McNeese State and Florida Gulf Coast.
Paul Graham leads FAU in scoring at 13.4 points per game followed by Xavier Perkins (12.4) and Shavar Richardson (12.1). The Owls have averaged 65.4 points per game against a schedule that has included games with Arizona and Santa Clara.
The meeting between the schools, former members of the Trans America Athletic Conference (now the Atlantic Sun), is the third all-time with each team winning on the road. FAU claimed the last meeting between the teams with a 76-60 victory at the University Center in the 1996-97 season.
