HAMMOND – After opening its season with an overtime loss at SEC member Arkansas last Friday, the Southeastern Louisiana University men's basketball team opens its home slate Monday when it faces Miles College in the University Center.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game can be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9) and on the internet at

In its season-opener, Southeastern (0-1) nearly did what no team had been able to do in the last 35 years – beat Arkansas in a home opener. The Lions led for much of the game before a Razorback rally forced overtime with Arkansas holding on for a 91-87 victory.
Kevyn Green led Southeastern with 21 points while
Warrell Span tied a career-high with 20 points.
Patrick Sullivan, who moved closer to becoming the all-time blocked shot leader in Southeastern history, posted a double-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds and added six blocks. As a team, Southeastern blocked 11 shots against the Razorbacks.
Miles College dropped a 79-43 decision to Jackson State in an exhibition game on Nov. 6. LeDarius Welch led the Golden Bears with 16 points.
