SOUTHEASTERN VOLLEYBALL LOOKS TO REGROUP AGAINST SOUTHERN

Lady Lions Host Jaguars in Non-Conference Tilt

HAMMOND - After a hard-fought three set loss to Central Arkansas on Saturday, the Southeastern Louisiana University women's volleyball team (5-7, 1-2 Southland Conference) will look to return to the form that saw the Lady Lions take a thrilling five-set decision from Northwestern State on Friday, when they take a break from SLC action to host in-state rival Southern on Tuesday night at the University Center.

Tuesday's contest will mark the end of a three-match homestand for the Lady Lions and a stretch that saw Southeastern play five of their last seven matches in Hammond.  After Tuesday's match, the Lady Lions will embark on their first conference road trip of the season, visiting McNeese State on Friday and Stephen F. Austin on Saturday.  However, the Lady Lions are not looking past Southern.

"We need to come out and play a complete game," head coach Julie Langford said.  "We've had matches this year where we didn't have that complete effort, or we had a lack of focus and it cost us.  So we just need to focus on putting together a good team effort."

First serve for the Lady Lions and Lady Jaguars is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the University Center in Hammond.  Live stats will be available at www.LionSports.net.  Admission is free to all fans.

Additionally, the Southeastern Student Government Association will host Spike Night at the University Center with giveaways and food for Southeastern students.
