Hayes was once again 2-0 in the circle on the week, pitching Southeastern to a Southland Conference sweep at Sam Houston State and helping SLU set a new single-season school record for victories. In the series opener, she struck out eight and did not allow an earned run, scattering four hits in a 5-4 SLU victory. She was even more dominant on Saturday, holding the Bearkats to two hits in her fourth complete-game shutout of the season. Since starting the season 2-5, she has won 13 of her last 15 decisions in the circle - including her last six. In conference play, she is on a current eight-game winning streak and is 12-2 and carries league lows in ERA (1.50) and batting average (.162).
