Cooper posted his Southland-high fourth 100-yard rushing performance of the season in Thursday’s season-ending 21-17 win over No. 17/25 Nicholls. The freshman finished with 143 yards on 12 carries, including a 63-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to earn Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week. In his first collegiate season, the Jerry Rice Award candidate led the Lions with 646 rushing yards and finished the season with a single-season school record 10.1 yards per carry.
