Underwood was a scoring machine in her first full week of Southland Conference play, averaging 31.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists over a three-game stretch. She finished with a career-high 45 points – one shy of the single-game school record – in an 87-71 win at Houston Baptist – the Lady Lions’ first victory on the road in 2016-17. On Saturday, she recorded the second double-double of her junior season, finishing with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Her eight assists versus Incarnate Word on Monday were a career high to go with 27 points. Underwood is averaging a league-high 25.8 points per game in Southland Conference play.
