Hayes came in off the bench for the first time this season to score a career-high 29 points in 18 minutes in a 108-69 win over Florida A&M on Monday. Per CBB at Sports Reference, Hayes is the third player since 2010 to score 29-plus points in 18 or fewer minutes. Hayes hit seven 3-pointers, tied for fourth most in Southeastern history, while His 70 percent shooting from beyond the arc was tied for ninth-best. He was also 4-for-4 from the line, helping the Lions score their most points against a Division I opponent in 19 years. He also contributed three rebounds, two steals. Hayes went on to score 14 points with five rebounds, two steals, an assist and a steal in a 78-56 loss at Toledo on Saturday.
