With several of his backfield mates nursing injuries, Maracalin toted the load for the Lions in their 30-10 Southland Conference road victory at Incarnate Word. The sophomore rushed for a career-high 191 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries. His rushing yardage total represented the sixth-highest single-game total in school history, the most by a Lion under head coach Ron Roberts and the most yards gained on the ground by a SLU player since Jay Lucas rushed for 215 yards versus Central Arkansas in 2007.
