Delesdernier set a career-best in qualifying for the NCAA East
Preliminaries in the javelin at the Sam Houston State Last Chance Meet
on Saturday.

Delesdernier threw 150 feet to finish second overall behind
Northwestern State’s Kelsey Frank’s 150-1. She will join sophomore
pole vaulter Devin King, senior high jumper Clarence Robinson, senior
thrower Jermisha Frazier and senior sprinter Sharrona Williams at the
East Preliminaries, set for May 26-28 in Jacksonville, Fla.
