The unsung hero of Southeastern's undefeated week at home, Mikayla Shippy dished out a career-high 57 assists in the Lady Lions' win over SFA. It was just the fifth win ever for Southeastern over the Ladyjacks and the first since sweeping the season series in 2012. In the win, Lady Lions Landry Bullock and Sarah Friedman each established career highs in kills thanks to Shippy's distribution skills. The senior from Pueblo West, Colorado, followed up her performance with 46 assists in a win over in-state rival Northwestern State, her second-highest total of the season. Her average of 12.8 assists per set is more than two full assists better than what the conference leader is averaging this season. The wins moved Southeastern into a tie for fourth place in the conference standings.
