Hellyer improved to 3-0 on the year with two wins this week, helping Southeastern win the Jimmy John’s Lion Classic II title … She came in in relief facing 4-0 deficit and held UMBC to one run on the way to a 13-5 victory. She hurled a complete game in Saturday’s 7-2 win over South Dakota State, limiting the Jackrabbits to seven hits. Through the first two weeks of the season, she has a 0.97 earned run average and held opponents to a .207 batting average.
