Westermann fired a final round 1-under par 71 to claim his school-record tying fourth individual tournament championship at the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate. Westermann, who tied former Lion Cedric Scotto with his fourth career victory, earned medalist honors for the first time since claiming the Jim West Invitational on April 10-12, 2011. The German native, who was the lone player in the field to score below par in each round, finished at 7-under 209 (70-68-71) for the tournament and was three shots ahead of second-place finisher Alfred Kerstis of Arkansas-Little Rock.
