Assistant Coach Ryan Allgood

Ryan Allgood

Veteran offensive line coach Ryan Allgood joined the Southeastern Louisiana University football staff in the spring of 2026. In addition to overseeing the offensive line, Allgood serves as the Lions’ run game coordinator.

Allgood spent the 2025 season at UIW, where he coached the Cardinals’ tight ends and served as recruiting coordinator. A veteran of the Southland Conference, Allgood was at McNeese from 2022-24. During his time with the Cowboys, he coached offensive line, while also serving as assistant head coach, run game coordinator and recruiting coordinator. In his final season in Lake Charles, McNeese led the Southland in rushing offense.

Prior to heading to McNeese, he spent the 2019-21 seasons at Valdosta State, helping VSU to two Gulf South Conference championships and a berth in the 2021 NCAA Division II National Championship game. Under his direction, the Blazers twice led DII in rushing yards per carry and ranked in the nation’s top three in total offense.

His other coaching stops included stints at Tiffin (2017-18), Oklahoma (graduate assistant, 2014-15) and College of St. Scholastica (2013) and Fort Hays State (graduate assistant, 2011-12).

As a player, he played at Oklahoma, before serving as a student assistant coach for the Sooners. He has both his bachelor’s (2011) and master’s (2018) degrees from OU, while also earning a master’s in health and human performance from Fort Hays State in 2020.

Allgood has coached 12 NFL players, five All-Americans and 20 all-conference performers during his coaching career.
