Kyle Granat

Kyle Granat begins his first season with the Southeastern Louisiana University track and field program, serving as the distance coach for the Lions.

In this role, Granat works with the men’s and women’s distance athletes in cross country and track and field, assisting in the development of training programs designed to improve endurance performance while emphasizing long-term athlete health and durability.

Granat brings a unique blend of coaching, endurance athletics, and sports medicine experience to the program. In addition to his role with Southeastern, he works as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, specializing in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization for both athletes and the general population. His background allows him to integrate evidence-based training principles with injury-aware programming to help distance runners train consistently and perform at a high level.

Granat earned his undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2017. He later earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas in 2020.

In addition to his clinical work, Granat is the founder of Formulate Wellness, a performance consulting company focused on endurance training, nutrition, and athlete development.

A native of Amite, Louisiana, Granat is an active endurance athlete who trains for marathons, ultramarathons, and triathlons. Outside of competition, he enjoys traveling both domestically and internationally to pursue his passion for mountain climbing. Granat is also the proud father of two children, Elizabeth and Luke.
