After serving in various roles on head coach Rick Fremin's staff, Matt Uhle returned to the Southeastern softball staff as an assistant coach in August 2025. A native of Harahan, Louisiana, Uhle has been an instructor at the Big Easy Sports Complex for the past three years.
From 2009 – 2014, Uhle served as head coach at St. Martin Episcopal High School with a 71Â-42 record and earned New Orleans Metro Coach of the Year honors in 2010.
Prior to his time at St. Martin’s High School, Uhle coached several top fastpitch softball select teams in Louisiana dating back to 1995.
Matt and his wife Kellie reside in Metairie, Louisiana. He also has two daughters, Lauren (Age 30) and Christina (Age 23) and two grandchildren and a step daughter, Kayla Maldonado.
