HIGH SCHOOL:

 Earned two letters in football and four letters in track at Lamar Hish School in Rosenberg, Texas ... Overcame injury problems and was a district champion and second-place regional finisher in the 400 m dash, earning a trip to the Texas State High School Track and Field Championships in 2007. Will use the 2007-08 campaign as a redshirt season.
