Tholis, a 2-time All-American javelin-thrower at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania, is in his second season with the Lions staff working primarily with the Lions throwers and multi-event athletes.

The Belle Mead, New Jersey native came to Southeastern after serving as a volunteer assistant coach at LSU. At LSU Tholis helped coach hammer thrower Jake Norris to a new school record and a NCAA 3rd place finish.

Prior to LSU, Tholis served as both an assistant track and field coach as well as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Lebanon Valley College. Tholis has also coached for both his alma mater high school and college, all while teaching health and exercise science courses at The County College of Morris in Randolph, New Jersey.

Tholis graduated from East Stroudsburg with both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in exercise science. While competing for the Warriors Tholis set the school record, earned All-America honors in both 2012 and 2013, and was named the Mid-Atlantic Region Scholar Athlete of the year.
