For the second time in three years, our student-athletes have earned the Southland Strong Community Service Award [STORY], an accolade given to the member institution that is most active in the community through student-athletes’ individual service hours, institution’s organized community service events and participation in Southland league-wide activities, including a campus initiative selected by each institution and the Southland Gives Back community service project during winter break.

Southland Gives Back 2019 As part of the Southland Conference’s “Southland Gives Back” initiative, the Southeastern Louisiana Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the SLU Athletics Ticket Office and SLU Multicultural and International Student Affairs (MISA) partnered for the “Season of Giving” Food Drive throughout the months of November and December.
