2011 Outdoor (Junior): Tied the school record twicewith a pole vault of 5.20m (17-00.75) at the Texas Relays and the NCAA East Preliminaries … broke the Southeastern pole vault record and finished fourth at the NCAA Championships, earning All-American honors with a performance of 5.25m (17-02.75).

2011 Indoor (Junior): Set the Southeastern indoor pole vault record at the Jeff Davis McNeese Indoor II with a height of 5.05m (16-06.75).

2010 Outdoor (Sophomore): Turned in season-best pole vault of 4.75m (15-07.00) at the ULL Twilight.

2010 Indoor (Sophomore): Won the McNeese Invite I with a pole vault of exactly 16 feet (4.88 m).
2009 Outdoor (Freshman): Got the scoring started for Southeastern at Southland outdoor championships. Was making his first appearance since suffering a severe ankle sprain in the second meet of the outdoor season. Tied his personal best mark by clearing 15-7 (4.75 m) to take fifth place and earn four points.

2009 Indoor (Freshman): Claimed sixth place in Southland indoor championships pole vault with a mark of 15 feet 1.5 inches (4.61 m).

High School:  A member of the DeRidder track and field, football and soccer teams … Indoor state pole vault champion … Outdoor 4A state champion.

Personal: Son of Caryn and Steve Simmons … Has two siblings, Kyle (23) and Karley (19).
