2011 Indoor (Junior): Improved his time in the mile to 4:25.29 at the LSU Twilight … turned in a time of 8:44.38 in the 3,000-meter run.
2010 Cross Country (Senior): Earned 16th place finish at the NCAA South Central Cross Country Regionals at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco, Texas, completing 10K course in 30:52.0 ... Needed 25:07.6 to finish Southland Conference Championships 8K, giving him a sixth place result ... Picked up his third straight individual victory (19:39.24), leading the Lions to a team win at the Choctaw Open four mile event ... Named Southland Conference athlete of the week honors after winning LSU Invitational, covering 8K distance in 25:40.49, beating LSU's Richard Chautin by over 18 seconds ... Crossed finish line over 10 seconds before his nearest competitor to win South Alabama's Azalea City Classic, completing 5K race in 15:21.63.
2010 Indoor (Sophomore): Showed his distance prowess at McNeese State’s Jeff Davis Bank indoor meet, running 3000 meters in 8:30.55 to claim first place … Finished 10th at the Southland Conference championship’s 3000 meter event (8:43.25), then proceeded to take fourth place in the 5000 meters (14:52.39).
2009 Cross Country (Junior): Started season at McNeese State’s two-man relay 6K event, teaming with Kalphys Kemboi for a first place finish … Three weeks later, Rop and Kemboi went stride for stride at the 8K LSU Invitational, well ahead of their nearest competitors, with Kemboi edging Rop by less than three hundredths of a second at the finish line … His next time out, Rop picked up his first individual victory of the season at Mississippi College’s 8K meet (25:37.73) ... He followed that up with a ninth place finish at the 8K conference championships ... Rop’s year ended with a 20th place finish in the 10K NCAA regional meet in Waco, Texas ... Named Southland Conference male cross country student-athlete of the year.
2009 Outdoor (Sophomore): Settled for a time of 15:04.88 in the 5000 m run en route to tenth-place at the Texas Relays in a field filled with some of the best distance runners in the country ... Clocked in at 9:23.3 to win the 3000 m steeplechase at the Exxon Mobil Ty Tyrell Relays in Beaumont, Texas ... Claimed first in the Northwestern State Invitational 1500 m run with a time of 4:01.61 ... Claimed third in the Southland outdoor championships 10 K with a personal and school record time of 31:01.09 to add eight points to the Southeastern cause. Returned with another second place performance in the 3K steeplechase - recording a personal best time of 9:09.16. returned for the 5000 m run on Sunday and Then took third in 5000 m run with a time of 14:31.73, the fourth-best time in school history, bringing Southeastern to within 1.5 points and setting the stage for the Lions’ dramatic victory ... Earned Southland Conference male athlete of the year honors ... Automatic selection to All-SLC academic squad.
2008 Cross Country (Sophomore): Named the Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year and earned All-SLC honors by finishing fourth at the league meet with a time of 25:12 over the 8K course ... Totaled four top-ten finishes on the season, including a first-place finish at the Mississippi College Invitational ... Named SLC Athlete of the Week after earning runner-up honors at the Azalea City Classic with a time of 15:01 over the 5K course ... Clocked a time of 23:17.1 to claim sixth place at the Lions’ biggest meet of the season, the Auburn Tiger Invitational.
2008 Outdoor (Freshman): Named the Southland Conference Freshman of the Year after winning the 10,000 m, finishing second in the 3,000 m steeplechase and claiming fourth in the 5,000 m ... took first place at the prestigious Texas Relays with a 10K time of 14:13.39.
2008 Indoor (Freshman): Made his Southeastern debut at the 2008 Bayou Bengal Invitational, claiming second in the 3000 m run with a time of 8:27.85 ... Earned Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year honors at the 2008 conference indoor meet after taking first in the 5000 m run with a time of 14:36.14 and third in the 3000 m run with a time of 8:25.68.
