HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football, indoor volleyball and soccer teams all host nonconference contests, while the 2026 North Oaks Health Southeastern Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet is also on tap for this week in Southeastern Athletics.
The Southeastern football team (0-2, 0-1 SLC) will return home to host North Alabama Saturday at 6 p.m. in Strawberry Stadium. The game, sponsored by Burns Estate Planning and Wealth Advisors, is Solid Gold Saturday, as Southeastern fans are encouraged to wear gold.
At Friday's 6:30 p.m. North Oaks Health Southeastern Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet, the 2026 Hall of Fame class of Lacey Bockhaus (soccer), Don Griffin (football), Kevin Hughes (football), Gus Malespin (baseball), Cedric Patton (football) and Chris Province (baseball) will officially be inducted, while the 1976 football team, which finished 9-1-1 overall, will also be recognized. The Hall of Fame class will also be honored at halftime of Saturday's game.
The SLU volleyball team (1-4) closes out its season-opening six-match road swing with a 6 p.m. match Tuesday at Southern. The Lions then head home to host the Southeastern Showdown, which opens Friday with Southeastern taking on Texas Southern at noon and Charlotte at 7 p.m. SLU faces LSU in the tournament finale Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Lion soccer team (4-1-1) returns to Strawberry Stadium after three straight games away from home. SLU welcomes West Florida Friday for a 5 p.m. contest. Friday's game will also feature the Pack the Berry promotion, as Southeastern students will receive free food while supplies last.
On the Air
All of this week's home games will be televised on ESPN+. Saturday's football game will air on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 103.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).
The same affiliates will air this week's episode of Inside Southeastern Football with Frank Scelfo, which airs Monday at 7 p.m. at Brady's in downtown Hammond. Hosted by Scelfo and Allen Waddell, the show will cover all things Lion Football and, following the debut episode, will air weekly Mondays at 7 p.m.
