Southeastern Opens 2026-27 at Grover Page Classic

SLU part of 10-team field Monday and Tuesday in Jackson, Tenn.

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team will open its 2026-27 schedule this week, competing in the 23rd annual Grover Page Classic at the Jackson Country Club in Jackson, Tenn.

Southeastern will be one of 10 schools competing on the par-72, 7,020-yard course. The first 36 holes are scheduled for Monday with the final round set for Tuesday. Both days tee off at 8:15 a.m. Live scoring, provided by host UT Martin, will be accessible via the men's golf schedule page at www.LionSports.net.

The Lions will play with Samford, Eastern Illinois and Tennessee State for the first two rounds Monday. In addition to the host Skyhawks, the field also includes Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Indian Hills Community College, Missouri State, SIUE and Southern Indiana. Student-athletes from Middle Tennessee State will compete as individuals.

2026-27 will mark the fifth straight season in which SLU has opened the season at the Grover Page Classic. Southeastern has finished seventh in each of the past two seasons.

David Marsh is the top returner for the Lions after earning first team All-Louisiana honors following last season's freshman campaign. The Baton Rouge, La. native posted a 73.3 stroke average in 2025-26, capped by a runner-up finish at the Southland Conference Championships.

Marsh is one of two returners in the starting five for Southeastern, along with Preston Paulk. Lion veteran Colby Sullivan will be representing SLU as an individual.

A pair of Southeastern freshmen – Hudson Partin (Denham Springs, La.) and Luca Rimauro (Como, Italy) – will make their collegiate debuts this week. Hayden Webber, a Madison, Miss. native who spent his freshman season at Delta State, will also make his Lion debut in Jackson.

Following this week's tournament, Southeastern will head to Hoover, Ala. to compete in the GMAC Invitational, hosted by UAB, Sept. 20-21, at Iverness Country Club.
