HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University soccer team hosts a pair of nonconference contests, the indoor volleyball team is set for its second exhibition, while SLU opens the fall 2026 semester with Strawberry Jam and Lionpawlooza during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
The Southeastern soccer team (0-1) opens the week's action Thursday with a 7 p.m. game versus Troy in Strawberry Stadium. Sunday sees Spring Hill visit for a 1 p.m. contest.
The SLU indoor volleyball team hosts its final exhibition Wednesday, welcoming Tulane to the University Center at 6:30 p.m. in the University Center. Wednesday will also be Youth Sports Night and Camp Reunion in the UC. Local youth sports teams in attendance will be spotlighted during the match.
Southeastern students are invited to kickoff the 2026-27 Southeastern Athletics season at Strawberry Jam. In addition to free food and t-shirts, students can enjoy an evening of games and green and gold spirit Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Strawberry Stadium.
Lionpawlooza will be held in conjunction with the Hammond Downtown Development District's Hot August Night Saturday at 5 p.m. at Railroad Park. Fans can meet Southeastern student-athletes and coaches, while enjoying performances by the national champion cheerleaders and Lionettes, as well as the Spirit of the Southland Marching Band.
