EUGENE, Ore. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's track & field team member Onyah Favour became SLU's latest All-America honoree Saturday, after being named to the First Team at the NCAA Division I Outdoor National Championships at Hayward Field.
 
After qualifying for the 400-meter dash finals on Thursday, Favour took to the track Saturday for her first-ever finals appearance. The junior from Asaba, Nigeria, ended the race in eighth out of nine sprinters with a 50.91 time to claim her second consecutive All-America award.
 
At the 2025 NCAA National Championships, Favour placed 16^th with a time of 52.39, claiming Second Team All-America honors. Favour reached new heights in 2026, competing in the finals and taking a spot among the eight best 400-meter sprinters in the nation.
 
In addition to All-America honors, Favour ends the 2026 season with several other accolades, including First, Second, Third, and All-Academic Team Southland Conference awards. Favour also posted an SLC record in the 400-meter dash, having recorded a 50.25 time at the NCAA East First Round.
 
Favour becomes the latest SLU All-American, doing so in back-to-back years. Slavko Stevic was the most recent Southeastern First Team All-American, after the Serbia native placed fourth in the high jump at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
