HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team will return to the sand to compete in the North Alabama Beach Ball for its final tournament of the regular season at the UNA Beach Volleyball Courts.
Southeastern (14-12, 5-2 SLC) will embark on its last road trip of the regular season after closing out 2-2 in the Battle on the Bayou. The Sandy Lions dominated with 5-0 sweep versus conference rival Nicholls and 3-2 victory over New Orleans, extending the green and gold's eight-match winning streak. SLU ended the weekend, suffering a 5-0 loss against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and a 4-1 defeat versus No. 12 LSU.
The Sandy Lions will open serve Thursday morning at 11 a.m. against Central Arkansas (13-14, 1-1) before facing Missouri State (21-3, 3-0) at 2 p.m. to close out the day. The Sugar Bears will seek to extend a winning streak after claiming a 4-1 victory over conference foe New Orleans. Missouri State will look to compound its momentum of a six-match winning streak after competing in the Austin Peay Invitational.
SLU will return to the sand with an early start to the final day of the tournament, facing host North Alabama (18-12, 5-2) at 9 a.m. The Lions will look to continue their momentum after recording a 4-1 victory over Berry College and UT Martin last weekend on the road.
Concluding Friday morning, Southeastern will travel to Corpus Christi, Texas to compete in the 2026 Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championship Tournament Wednesday, April 22-24.
