HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's track & field teams split up for the first week of April in the outdoor season. The Lions will start the week in Austin, Texas, for the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, Wednesday, before going east to compete in the Southern Miss Invitational in Hattiesburg, Miss., Friday. Onyah Favour will represent SLU in the 200-meter and 400-meter dash events at LSU's Battle on the Bayou, Friday and Saturday.

In Baton Rouge, La., Favour will compete in the 200-meter and 400-meter dash events after breaking a school record (2:11.73) in the 800-meter run in the team's last meet. The junior will return to LSU, taking part in the Battle on the Bayou, where she will run in the outdoor 400-meter event for the first time since the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships. At LSU, the 200-meter dash begins at 5:45 p.m. Friday with the 400-meter dash taking place at 12:40 p.m. Saturday.

The remaining Lions will compete in Hattiesburg, Friday and Saturday. On Friday, SLU will participate in the men's and women's hammer, javelin, and triple jump at the Southern Miss Invitational, before competing in Saturday's events.
