HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team will host William Carey at 3 p.m. at the Southeastern Beach Volleyball Complex, located in North Oaks Park.
SLU (11-10, 5-2 SLC) will face William Carey (3-10, 3-8) in its final home match of the 2025-26 season. Southeastern will look to compound its five-match winning streak after closing out the weekend undefeated in the Sandy Polk Invitational, 2-0. The Sandy Lions secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Tarleton State before closing out the day with a hard-fought 3-2 win over McNeese. The green and gold continue to make strides as the program ranks No. 49 in the nation after last weekend's performance in Lake Charles, La., according to the Collegiate Beach Volleyball (CBVB).
Southeastern will open serve against the Crusaders as the visitors will seek to snap their two-match losing streak, falling against the University of Mobile and Loyola University-New Orleans. William Carey visits Hammond, America this week after facing conference rival Nicholls to open the week.
The Sandy Lions encourage fans to support as five seniors will be honored for Senior Day. Makayla Hicks, Mia McKinney, Carley Petty, Maggie Paiva and Elizabeth Hardouin will be recognized for their contributions to the program. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as the ceremony will begin at 3:45, at the conclusion of the exhibition match.
Concluding Wednesday's match, Southeastern will compete in the North Alabama Beach Ball Thursday, April 16-17. SLU will face Central Arkansas, North Alabama and Missouri State.
