HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball, softball, beach volleyball, track and tennis teams will all be in action during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
Fresh off sweeping the Ponchartrain Bowl series versus UNO and moving into a tie for the Southland Conference lead, the reigning SLC regular season champion Southeastern baseball team (16-12, 8-4 SLC) will hit the road this week. SLU opens the week with a 6 p.m. nonconference game at No. 11 Southern Miss Tuesday. The Lions then head to UIW for a three-game series, which opens Thursday at 2:05 p.m., continues Friday at 2:05 p.m. and concludes Saturday at 1:05 p.m.
 
Winners of a single-season school record 16 games in a row, the two-time reigning Southland Conference Tournament champion SLU softball team (30-9, 12-0 SLC) heads to four-time reigning SLC regular season champion McNeese for a three-game series. The set opens with a 4 p.m. doubleheader Thursday and wraps up Friday at 1 p.m.
 
The Lion beach volleyball team (11-10, 5-2 SLC) closes out its home schedule Wednesday, hosting William Carey at 3 p.m. for Senior Day. Seniors Mia McKinney, Makayla Hicks, Carley Petty, Elizabeth Hardouin and Maggie Paiva will be honored in conjunction with Wednesday's match.
 
The Southeastern track and field teams will compete in three different meets this week. SLU heads to the Texas Relays, which runs Wednesday through Saturday in Houston, Texas. The Lions will also be in Hattiesburg, Miss. Friday and Saturday for the USM Invitational. Onyah Favour will represent Southeastern in the 200 and 400-meter dashes at the Battle of Bayou Friday and Saturday in Baton Rouge.
 
The SLU tennis team (9-7, 2-4 SLC) has a pair of league matches on the road this week. The Lions will be in Thibodaux Monday for a 6 p.m. match at Nicholls, before facing McNeese Saturday at 2 p.m.

All of this week's SLU softball games, as well as Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday's baseball games, will be televised on ESPN+.
