Tarleton State regrouped as its pair two claimed a three-set victory to avoid the shutout. Mia Sauers and Gabriella Hrubanova stepped up for SLU to close out the match with a swift 21-16, 21-14 win over the Texans.
Southeastern returned to the sand to claim a tough 3-2 victory over McNeese (16-5, 4-2 SLC) to end the day.
