Lions Finish Sixth at Austin Peay Intercollegiate

Ingram, Marsh, Blaum paced solid SLU effort

DICKSON, Tenn. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team finished sixth among a 16-team field at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Tuesday afternoon at GreyStone Golf Club.
 
Southeastern shot one-over par for Tuesday's final round and finished the tournament with a total of 873 (+9), shooting even par over the final 36 holes. Jacksonville State rallied from nine shots down to win the tournament with a score of 849 (-15).
 
David Marsh, Gavin Ingram and Patrick Blaum all shared team-high honors for SLU, finishing four-over par for the tournament – good for a tie for 26th place. Ingram's opening round 69 highlighted his week. Marsh shot one-under par in Tuesday's final round, while Blaum was -5 over the final two rounds and tied for the tournament lead with 14 birdies.
 
Griffin Dorr (+7, T38th) and Noah Bumgarner (+10, T49th) were the other Lion representatives. Jacksonville State's Will Drake and Grant Phillips of UT Martin shot eight-under par for the tournament to share individual medalist honors.
 
Southeastern will return to the course in a couple of weeks, traveling to Jonesboro, Ark. April 13-14 to compete in the Arkansas State Spring Invitational – the team's final tune-up before the Southland Conference Championships.
