HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's tennis team will return home to host a pair of Southland Conference foes at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
SLU (9-4, 2-1 SLC) will open the home stand with a 3 p.m. match versus SFA (4-6, 3-1 SLC) Saturday. Northwestern State (8-4, 4-0 SLC) visits Monday for an 11 a.m. match. The first 150 SLU students in attendance at Monday's match will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of Southeastern Athletics. Adriana Tirado continues to lead the Lions in singles victories, entering this week's two SLC matches with a 9-3 overall record.
Paige Duncan (7-3) and
Mariam Tetradze (7-2) are the team's other singles win leaders.
Tirado and Tetradze have a team-best 7-4 doubles record. Duncan and
Bente Bierma (5-4), as well as
Aitana Darder and
Taisia Bolsova (6-7) are the other primary doubles pairings for SLU.
SFA is led in singles play by Sonja Rooth, who has a 7-1 singles mark. Rooth and Felicia Beck lead the Ladyjacks with a 3-2 doubles record.
NSU sits atop the Southland standings behind Martina Acebedo (9-1) and Sofi Garcia (6-0). Acebedo has teamed with Athina Grigoriadou with a team-best 6-2 doubles mark.
Following this week's action, Southeastern will travel to New Orleans for a 2 p.m. matchup with the Privateers March 28.
