HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team will return to action this week, traveling to the Colin Montgomerie-HCU Invitational, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at the Sweetwater Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas.
SLU will be one of 14 teams competing on the par-71, 6,689-yard course. Live scoring, provided by host HCU, will be accessible at the golf schedule page at
www.LionSports.net.
In addition to Southeastern and the host Huskies, Southland Conference members New Orleans, UIW, Nicholls and East Texas A&M will also be in the field. Other participants include North Dakota, Weber State, Central Michigan, Missouri State, Howard, Prairie View, Midland College and Texas Southern. Individuals from Rice and Houston will also compete.
Southeastern will be paired with Central Michigan, UNO and Missouri State for the first two rounds Monday. Representing SLU will be
David Marsh,
Lorenzo Palmieri,
Griffin Dorr,
Noah Bumgarner and
Colby Sullivan. Marsh led the Lions with a 14
th-place finish at last week's Gulf Coast Collegiate.
SLU finished fifth in last year's Colin Montgomerie Invitational. Sullivan and Dorr were both in the 2025 starting five, as both tied for 26
th place with Sullivan firing a final-round 69.
Following this week's tournament, Southeastern will take a couple of weeks from competition before traveling to Dickson, Tenn. to compete in the Austin Peay Intercollegiate March 23-24.
