HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football, indoor volleyball and soccer teams continue Southland Conference play, while the softball and beach volleyball teams are set for home action during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
The Southeastern football team (3-2, 1-1 SLC) carries a three-game winning streak into this week. Coming off a bye, the Lions will close out a three-game road swing with a 7 p.m. contest Saturday at UTRGV.
The SLU indoor volleyball team (6-11, 3-1 SLC) also has won three straight heading into the week. Southeastern returns home following a seven-match road swing Thursday, hosting McNeese at 6:30 p.m. in the University Center. Thursday's match is a Pink Out, as fans are encouraged to wear pink as the Lions raise breast cancer awareness and show support for those currently fighting.
SLU then welcomes Nicholls to the UC Saturday for a noon contest. Saturday is Alumni Day and all Southeastern volleyball alumni in attendance will be honored during the match.
The Lion soccer team (5-6-1, 1-3 SLC) opens the week on the road, facing HCU Thursday at 7 p.m. Southeastern returns home Sunday, hosting UTRGV at 1 p.m. in Strawberry Stadium. Sunday is a Pink Out, as fans are encouraged to wear pink as the Lions raise breast cancer awareness and show support for those currently fighting.
The SLU softball team will continue its fall exhibition schedule this week. Southeastern welcomes Jones College for a 5 p.m. 10-inning exhibition Wednesday at North Oak Park.
The Lion beach volleyball team will host the Coconut Beach Pairs Qualifier Friday and Saturday at the Southeastern Beach Volleyball Complex.

The same Southeastern Sports Radio Network affiliates will air this week's episode of Inside Southeastern Football with Frank Scelfo, which airs Monday at 7 p.m. at Brady's in downtown Hammond. Hosted by Scelfo and Allen Waddell, the show will cover all things Lion Football and will air weekly Mondays at 7 p.m.
