HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University tennis team will open the spring portion of its schedule, while the SLU men's and women's basketball teams continue Southland Conference play during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Lion tennis team will open the spring with a pair of road matches this week. Southeastern will be at LSU Alexandria for a 1 p.m. match Friday, before traveling to Tulane Saturday for a 3 p.m. contest.
 
The SLU men's basketball team (6-14, 3-8 SLC) opens the week at home Tuesday, hosting McNeese for a 6 p.m. contest sponsored by First Guaranty Bank. Southeastern will then head to SFA Saturday for a 5 p.m. SLC matchup.
 
The Southeastern women's basketball team (2-16, 1-10 SLC) will also start the week at home, hosting Lamar at 6 p.m. Thursday in the University Center. Thursday's game, sponsored by First Guaranty Bank, will also be Faculty/Staff Night.
 
Aliyah Collins will be Thursday's Spotlight Player of the Game and the first 150 fans will receive a trading card featuring the College Station, Texas native, courtesy of PRIDE. The Lady Lions will close out the week's action with a 2 p.m. contest Saturday at SFA.
 
On the Air
All of this week's SLU men's and women's basketball contests will be televised on ESPN+.
 
The latest episode of Inside Southeastern Athletics presented by North Oaks Health System will air Wednesday on 5 p.m. on KSLU 90.9 the Lion, where all of this week's basketball action can also be heard.
