HAMMOND, La. – The two-time reigning Southland Conference Tournament champion Southeastern Louisiana University softball team will see its game versus Oregon at the season-opening NFCA Leadoff Classic broadcast on MLB Network, the NFCA announced Thursday.
Southeastern, which returns eight positional starters and the top two pitchers from last season's squad that finished 50-16 and advanced to the final of the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional, will face 2025 Women's College World Series participant Oregon at 9 a.m. (Central) Feb. 8 in Clearwater, Fla.
NFCA Official Sponsor GameChanger will run video livestreams for all 46 contests (six fields), through the GameChanger app (free), which fans can watch on their phone, tablet and desktop.
SLU opens the tournament Thursday, Feb. 5 with a 6 p.m. contest versus Clemson. Friday will see the Lady Lions face South Alabama at 3 p.m. and Longwood at 6 p.m. Rutgers (2 p.m.) and Boston College (5 p.m.) await Saturday for Southeastern, before SLU closes the tournament with the televised clash with the Ducks.
