HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University basketball and track and field teams will be in action during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Southeastern men's basketball team (5-13, 2-7 SLC) will open the week on the road with a 6:30 p.m. contest Monday at UTRGV. Saturday will see the Lions return home for a 3:30 p.m. league game versus Nicholls. Saturday will be Greek Day in the UC and the loudest and most spirited Greek organization will receive prizes courtesy of Southeastern Athletics.
 
The SLU women's basketball team (2-14, 1-8 SLC) hosts a pair of SLC foes this week, starting with a 6 p.m. visit from McNeese Thursday and their program's Greek Night. Nicholls visits Saturday for a 1 p.m. game and Bingo Day.
 
Taylor Ross (Thursday) and Aisha Marten-Coney (Saturday) will be this week's Spotlight Players of the Game. The first 150 fans will receive a trading card featuring that day's Spotlight Player of the Game courtesy of PRIDE.
 
The Southeastern track and field teams will compete in their second indoor meet of the season. For the second straight Friday, the Lions and Lady Lions will be in Baton Rouge, competing in the LSU Battle of the Bengal starting at 9 a.m.
 
On the Air
All of this week's SLU men's and women's basketball contests will be televised on ESPN+.
 
The latest episode of Inside Southeastern Athletics presented by North Oaks Health System will air Wednesday on 5 p.m. on KSLU 90.9 the Lion, where all of this week's basketball action can also be heard.
