HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University track and field teams will open the 2026 indoor season, while the men's and women's basketball teams continue Southland Conference play during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
The Lion and Lady Lion track and field teams will open the indoor season in Baton Rouge Friday. Southeastern will compete in the LSU Purple Tiger meet at 9 a.m.
The SLU men's basketball team (5-11, 2-5 SLC) opens the week at home, hosting New Orleans at 6 p.m. Monday on Faculty/Staff Night in the University Center. Saturday will see the Lions head to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for a 3:30 p.m. league contest at the Islanders.
The Southeastern women's basketball team (2-12, 1-6 SLC) will hit the road for a pair of league contests this week, starting with a 6:30 p.m. contest Thursday at UTRGV. SLU joins the men's team in Corpus Christi, Texas Saturday, opening the day's action with a 1 p.m. matchup with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
