HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team will return to the sand to compete in the 2025 Hub Beach Bash Friday afternoon in Hattiesburg, Miss at the Southern Miss Beach Volleyball Complex.
SLU (6-14, 3-5 SLC) will open serve Friday at 2:30 p.m. in a rematch against Spring Hill (11-11) to start the day. The Badgers are looking to reclaim a position in the winning category after falling 4-1 to McNeese this past weekend in the Bayou Beach Battle. Southeastern will seek to hold off Spring Hill for its third appearance this season to extend its winning streak after defeating Nicholls 4-1 in the Southland Mid-Year Invitational.
The Lady Lions will end the day against Southern Miss (9-15, 3-5) at 4:30 p.m. in the one-day tournament. The Golden Eagles are seeking to take care of business at home to snap its three-match losing streak.
Three teams will be competing Friday in the 2025 Hub City Beach Bash as conference foe New Orleans and Southern Miss will open the tournament at 10:30 a.m. All matches will be played at the Southern Miss Beach Volleyball Complex.
Concluding Friday's matches, Southeastern will travel to Birmingham, Alabama to compete in the Blazer Beach Bash Friday, April 11-12. SLU will face Chattanooga Friday morning at 10 a.m. before taking on Tennessee Tech at 2 p.m. to close the day. The Lady Lions will face UAB Saturday at 4 p.m. to cap the weekend.
